CHANTILLY, VA, AUGUST 26, 2024 – ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC (ECS) and A-Zone Environmental Services, LLC (A-Zone), a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) certified minority and Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), are pleased to announce the formation and approval of the A-Zone ECS JV, LLC, a Mentor-Protégé joint venture. This WOSB joint venture will combine the strengths, experience and differentiators of both companies to provide comprehensive remediation, engineering and consulting services throughout the United States.
Formed in 2024, the A-Zone ECS joint venture combines extensive environmental, facilities, geotechnical and construction experience and capabilities to support the missions and individual projects of Federal Agencies across the United States. Utilizing the 90+ offices of ECS, the joint venture can effectively and efficiently provide cost-saving solutions across the country to a wide variety of clients.
Founded in 2004 as a woman-owned small business, A-Zone is recognized as a trusted environmental partner that consistently delivers cost-effective and high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner. A-Zone performs environmental remediation, assessment, construction and demolition projects across the country. A-Zone proudly employs and draws on highly skilled and technical geologists, engineers, environmental scientists, site superintendents and equipment operators to get the job done safely, within budget, and on time.
Founded in 1988, ECS is comprised of six operating entities providing geotechnical, construction materials testing, environmental and facilities engineering and consulting services for numerous government agencies. ECS currently employs more than 2,700 talented and experienced registered professional engineers and geologists, scientist, project level engineers, as well as certified field and laboratory technicians and support staff.
