ECS was the proud sponsor of the student participation program at the ACEC/NCDOT Joint Transportation Conference held in Raleigh. Derek Clyburn, PE, Sun Breza, PE and Julie Smith had the opportunity to talk with the students from Franklin Academy in Wake Forest, NC who won NCDOT’s Statewide Model Bridge Building Contest in 2015. The Franklin Academy high school students were judged not only on the structural efficiency of their wooden model bridge, but on oral presentations, written reports and design drawings.
